Witnessed or Attested to by a Notary Public
If you need a copy of an original document to be certified as a true copy, the Notary Public will:
- Compare the copy with the original document to be satisfied that it is a true copy.
- Sign and place a Notary Public stamp on the copy of the document to state that it is a true copy of the original document.
- Prepare a Notary Certificate to be attached to the copy of the document. The Notary Certificate will state that the Notary Public has examined the document and has satisfied himself that it is a true copy of the original document.
- Secure your document and the Notary Certificate with a red ribbon and a Notary Seal.
